to SWMBO, no childern- I do have neciees and nephews. And my "kids" are
the furry four-legged kind- and Yeah-they are spoiled! Let's see, I may
well be the reason all of this comotion started regarding the lack of
bios in the first place--as I participated in the galootaclause and I
did not have a bio posted yet, a bit of history with me is I tried to
join in with this group way back when it was still the "porch"--(not
that it aint the porch now- but you know what I mean) and for some
technical reasons i lost my bookmark for the place and shortly after-I
had a total system failure with the computer-and wham- one thing led to
another and here I am, I recently got caught back up with y'all a few
monthes back and now here I am, anyways, I have had an interest in wood
every since my high school wood shop class ( yeah I got it bad),, then i
got hooked on St Roy's earily shows and have been a faithful watcher
since--well, when I can get them tuned in on the tv anyways.- I will not
belabor things by giving you the life history of things, lets us say
that I am totally disabled as a result of an industrial accident I had
while I was working as a Pipe-fitter/welder. As far as tools go- well I
must admit I have a few of the tailed variety ( I guess I am an assisted
traditional wood-worker) and I have been slowly acquiring a collection
of hand tools, I have a few- but tell me Are we every really to the
point where we admit that we have enough? if so,, I SURE aint "there"
yet-- and if y'all know of any good sources of tools in South Ga. let me
know, I know that Atlanta has a few, but that is a 4 hr car ride away,
and closer to the home base would be better-- I do not get around too
well since the disability. And I am hoping to add a dedicated "shop"
here sometime soon--SWMBO is getting tired of my good old tools in the
house--as I refuse to have the put up in our outside storage shed- Too
much humidity in the coastal marsh here and rust is a real problem!
Well- Enough of my rambaling on---for now, and I hope that this was not
too long or boring for y'all, I look forward to increasing my knowledge
of all aspects of this fine craft of Ours--with YOUR help! THANKS for
letting me be a part of this wonderful group, regards Doug
