149772 "Steve Johnson" <things@t...> 2005‑09‑13 Hello and the New GIT has a Question
Hello Galoots! Glad to be on the Porch and out of the rain. I'm Steve
(Johnson), properly a GIT by the rules, although I've been collecting
(and losing) old tools since I was about 5. I'm 41, and at this stage of
life I collect 'em and keep 'em....until we need some danged bill paid
anyway :-( If the powerball fairy hit me over the head with her club I'd
never sell another tool again, even if I never used it and didn't even
know how. Old tools are just so....well you seasoned folks already know
the drug aspect I guess. Speaking of which, is it really true that you
folks really prefer single malt scotch?? If that's true than I really
have found heaven :-)

SO, my virginal question to the group IS - I have an A.G. Coes & Co 12"
adjustable wrench that has the 'standard' company stamp on one side of
the head, but the other side has a strange stamp - a triangle,
containing within it a masonic-looking symbol, and surrounding it on the
outer two top sides "PAT MAY 2, 71" and "& DEC 28, 75". I've looked &
looked but haven't found any reference to this particular stamp. Can
someone tell me about this odd mark? I can send a photo on request.

Glad to be here!

Steve
