I've been lurking for quite awhile and have learned much from following
the banter on the porch. Thanks to all of you. I'm 47 years old residing in
Wichita, Kansas with a mostly understanding SWMBO and two cats. Employed
as a school social worker assigned to a special day school for the
behaviorally
disorderd (read Bad Boys). Grew up on a farm and learned a little about old
tools that way and inherited some woodworking tools from my great grand-
father who built some of his own furniture out of walnut that he cut on the
farm. Am lucky enough to have some of those pieces.

Presently have about thirty planes and assorted other gadgets (all users
mind you)
and stuff seems to follow me home no matter how hard I try to hide.

As to the question, I'm going to be in Dallas the first weekend in April,
any old 
tool haunts worth looking into?
