First run of tools for the month of June.  Pickings haven't been great,
but they have been steady, when the weather cooperates. There are lots
of fresh collectible and usable tools on this list.

PayPal is preferred (if you use it) on all items. It's easier for me to
ship items off of a paid PayPal invoice, especially First Class ones.
Checks and money orders are still welcome.

And remember........da more ya buy, the cheaper they fly!

First contact (that is e-mail, or phone) that says I want it gets it.
Prices do not include shipping.  All items are shipped with Delivery
Confirmation. Insurance, unless it is a big order or a very fragile item
is optional. Just let me know. Also, I am shipping a lot more stuff via
First Class mail. There will be a small amount added to the shipping
cover the cost of the padded mailer. I don't get them for free.

traffic!

Fresh Squeezings Of The Old Tool Trees

Hand Forged 1 1/4 Cross Peen Hammer Head.  Measuring 5" long, the face
is 15/16" square, the peen is 1 3/16" wide, and this weighs 1 lb 4 1/2
oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker, save for the 4 punch marks
around the top of the eye.  This is in reasonably good condition and was
cleaned.  There is some light pitting around the peen area, but overall
this is clean.  The face has some very light dings and frosting.  The
peen has some light pitting.  The punched eye is good to go.  This ain't
pristine, but tools like this rarely are, and this will get the job
done.  $18.00

Big Natural Fine Grit Sharpening Stone.  Measuring 8 3/4" long, 2 3/8"
wide at one end, 2 1/2" at the other end, 15/16" thick, and this weighs
2 lbs 2 1/4 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker. This is in
reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  The face is good other than
some flaws at the one end.  This is very slightly (like 1/32" or so)
dished looking from the side, but it's flat looking from the ends.
There are some chips around the edges.  The one side and end have some
deep saw marks.  The base has some light scratches.  This ain't perfect,
but it's a quality older stone that will get the job done.  $24.00

TWO Hand Forged Corn Shucking Pegs.  The upper one is 3 15/16" long, the
lower one is 4 7/8" long, and they weigh 2 oz unboxed.  They both have
the X maker mark and the same end treatment.  These are in reasonably
good condition and were cleaned.  There isn't much patina other than
some rusting around the holes that I couldn't get to. The tips are both
good.  The one has a leather loop, the other one a lace loop, but both
will get the job done.  I gotta say, that having sold a bunch of these
guys over the years, that finding a matched pair by the same maker,
rarely happens.  $22.00

Carll Patent 1913 6 Inch Adjustable Wrench.  Measuring 6" long and this
weighs 6 1/4 oz unboxed.  Addison B. Carll of Boothwyn, PA was granted
Pat. No. 1,060,891 on May 6, 1913 for the design of this tool which was
made by the Practical Tools Co. of New York, NY. This is in reasonably
good condition and was cleaned.  There is some light patina overall.
The jaw faces have some dings and light wear.  The adjuster works and
the jaw is reversible so that this can be used as a pipe wrench as
well.  The handle is good.  This ain't pristine, but these guys sure do
not show up every day.  $22.00

North Bros Yankee No 10 Ratcheting Screwdriver & No 72 Screw Holder.
Measuring 9 3/8" long and this weighs 6 oz unboxed.  Zachry T. Furbish
of Philadelphia, PA was granted Pat. No. 593,157 on Nov. 2, 1897 for the
design of the ratchet, and Thomas J. Fegley and George O. Leopold, were
granted Pat. No. 864,633 on Aug. 27, 1907 for the design of the screw
holder.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  The tip
and shaft are good.  The screw holder has a little patina down in the
crannies and nooks, but it works just fine.  The plating on the ratchet
is good and that works in both directions and the locked position.  The
handle has some wear to the original finish, a few dings, and there are
few bits of paint that didn't want to come off.  This ain't perfect, but
this is not a very common North Bros tool to say the least.  $32.00

Union Tool Co 12 Inch Machinist Combination Square.  This weighs 12 1/2
oz unboxed.  This is in used but good condition and was not cleaned.
The finish on the head is good, save for a few dings on the curved
area.  The level vial is good, the scribe is present, and the locking
tab and nut are good to go.  The machined faces have some light scuffs.
The rule also has some very light scuff marks and a hint of staining,
but nothing too bad.  All the rulings are readable and the edges and
corners are crispy.  This ain't pristine, but it sure ain't bad, and it
will get the job done.  $30.00

L S Starrett No 1 7 Inch Adjustable Jaw Cut Nippers.  This weighs 15 1/4
oz unboxed.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.
There is a little shop patina and a few dings on the sides of the jaws,
but nothing too bad.  The jaws are good save for a couple of very tiny
dings and all the screws work.  The joint, spring, and handles are all
good to go.  This ain't minty, but it is a top quality tool that will
get the job done.  $35.00

Vintage Lufkin No 1206 Aluminum 6 ft Zig Zag Rule.  This weighs 6 oz
unboxed.  This is in decent condition and was not cleaned.  There is
some light staining and scuffs on the segments, but all the rulings are
readable and the joints are good with no play. The ends have a little
wear on the corners.  This ain't minty, but these guys rarely are.  $15.00

long, the tips are 7/16" across the outside, 1/4" across the inside, and
this weighs 1 1/2 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This is in
decent condition and was cleaned.  There is some frosting and light
pitting on the head.  The tips are good.  The tang is also good and has
a small notch for a bitstock.  This ain't pristine, but these guys sure
do not show up very often.  $16.00

THIRTEEN Snell & Craftsman Auger Bits With Canvas Roll.  The sizes go
from 4 to 16, the Craftsman bits have red or black tangs, the Snell bits
have orange tangs, and this all weighs 3 lbs unboxed.  These are Irwin
pattern bits.  These are in reasonably good condition and were cleaned.
There is a little patina there and here, but nothing too bad.  Some of
the lead screws have a little rust, but they are all good.  The spurs
and cutters are good for the most part, a couple of them will need a
touch up.  A couple of the tangs have some dings on the edges, but they
are good to go.  The canvas roll looks like it could be military issue.
That has some small holes, a few bits of paint, and the strap is gone,
but overall it's solid.  These ain't pristine, but they are quality
tools that will get the job done.  $55.00

signed as to the maker.  This is in reasonably good condition and was
cleaned.  There are some dings on both sides of the eye, and a few spots
of light pitting, but overall there ain't much in the way of patina.
The face has some light dings and a couple of tiny dings around the
edge. The peen is good.  The punched eye has a little crusty on the
inside, but it's good to go.  This ain't the fanciest, but it is an
older tool that will get the job done.  $17.00

(measured from the point to the spur and doubled) that is just marked
Warranted, an F G Pearson Sheffield 1 3/4", a Schmidt & Mollenhoff 2
1/8", and they weigh 9 1/2 oz unboxed.  These are in reasonably good
condition and were cleaned.  The first two are clean, the last one has
some light pitting on both sides of the head.  The points and spurs are
all good, a couple of the cutters could stand a quick touch up.  The
shafts are all straight with no twists.  All the tangs are good, but
none are notched for a bitstock.  These ain't minty, but these bigger
ones are sure getting few and far between.  Just saying.  $24.00

Early Small Hand Forged Claw Hammer.  Measuring 9 3/8" overall, the head
is 4" long, the face is 1/2" square, the claws are 5/16" wide at the
tips, and this weighs 6 1/2 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.
This is in decent condition and was cleaned.  There is some overall
pitting and patina on the head.  The face was dressed at some point and
that is good.  The claws have some light chipping on the insides.  The
handle is hand carved and old, but I can't say if it's original or not.
That has some dings and stains, but it's solid. This ain't pristine, but
these older ones rarely are.  $17.00

is 3 15/16" long, the faces are 1 1/16" high, 15/16" wide, and this
weighs 2 lbs 2 1/4 oz unboxed.  This is in lightly used but good
condition and was not cleaned.  The faces have some very light dings,
but nothing too bad.  The finish on the head also has a couple of light
dings.  The handle has some stains and there is a area under the head on
the front where somebody (NOT ME!) "erased" a user mark, but it's
solid.  This ain't minty but it's 1/2 the price of what a new one will
run you.  $23.00

Hand Forged Oyster Or Clam Shucker  Shucking Knife.  Measuring 8 1/8"
long. the b lade is 5/8" wide, the handle is 3/4" square at the top,
11/16" at the end and this weighs 11 3/4 oz unboxed.  Not signed as to
the maker.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned.  There
ain't much in the way of overall patina to fuss about.  The blade is
missing a little bit of the tip, but that is an easy fix.  The blade is
bent slightly to one side, but that's the way that this was made.  Note
the chamfering on the handle, that is something that you don't see very
often on one of these.  There is a whisker of mushrooming on the end.
This ain't perfect, but it sure ain't your run of mill one of these guys
either.  $26.00

condition and were cleaned.  There is some frosting and staining on the

good.  Both nuts travel the full distance smoothly.  These ain't minty,

unboxed.  This is in good condition and was not cleaned.  There are a
few dots of patina and staining, nothing bad at all.  The chuck and jaws
are good and the ratchet works in both directions and the locked
position.  The grip and pad have the original finish, there are few tiny
dings, but it's 99.5% present.  Both spin freely.  This ain't pristine,
but it's pretty darn close.  $23.00

the edges.  The one claw is shorter than the other one and has a little
mushrooming on the tip.  There is some chipping in the center.  The
square punched eye is good to go. Pretty and perfect picked up and moved
out of town on this guy a while back, but it is a collectible old tool.

dings and a few tiny bits of paint down in the grain.  The threads on
the cap are good.  This comes with 8 of the original bits.  A couple of
them have slight bends, and the back of the chisel has a little
frosting, but overall they are good. This ain't minty, but seeing as how
it's at least 130 years old, well it sure ain't bad.  $28.00

dings, and there are some deeper ones around the eye on the top and
underside.  The face is good, save for some very light dings and the
peen is good as well.  I did run a file over some dings along the inside
edges of the eye and that is good to go. This ain't minty, but this is a
very uncommon tool to say the least.  $75.00

it's too faint to read, there is the number 400 stamped on there as
well.  This is in decent condition and was cleaned. There is some
overall pitting and patina.  The striking end was dressed at some point
and that is good to go.  The edge could stand a touch up, but it's not
too bad as is.  The eye is good save for a little patina down inside.

little bit of light crusty up at the top, but nothing too bad.  This
doesn't have a lead screw, just a point but that is good.  The cutters
and spurs are ready to work.  The tang has a few scuffs and rings, but

light spots and some staining, but it's clean enough to use if you want
to flip the bevel.  The socket has a little pitting and a small void
where it was seamed.  The handle is a replacement. That has some
staining and wear, but it's solid.  This ain't pretty or perfect, but it

H Disston & Sons D-8 26 Inch 8 PT Cross Cut Saw.  Measuring 29" overall,
the blade is 26" long, 2 1/16" high at the toe, 6 3/16" high right in
front of the tote, this is sharpened to 8 PT CC, and this weighs 1 lb 10
oz unboxed.  This was made by Disston between 1917 and 1940.  This is in
reasonably good condition, the only cleaning was to wipe some gunk off
the blade and to put some wax on the tote.  The blade has some staining
and a few spots of light pitting and rust etching, but nothing too bad.
All the teeth are present and this is sharp.  There is a very slight
bend (like 1/16" at the center) looking down the edge, which is usual
for this length of saw.  The tote has almost all of the original
finish.  There are some dings, and a few bits of paint, but it's solid.
This ain't minty, but it's a solid tool that will get the job done.  $35.00

little oil staining around the joint, but nothing too bad. The joint is
good and the fine adjuster works.  The tips are also good other than a
little patina.  This ain't minty, but it sure ain't got the price tag of
a new one either.  Look it up.  $30.00

metal boring bit has the most, but overall nothing too bad.  The edges
on the reamers and the spoon and quill bits are all good.  Three of the

light showing when they are closed. The joint is good as are the sprue

18th Century vintage.  Somebody called this a pumpkin scraper, but it
does look like a dough scraper.  Take your pick. This is in decent
condition and was cleaned.  There is lots of patina, pitting, and what
have you.  The edge is worn but that comes with old age and hard work,
eh?  The head area is good with no cracks that I can see.  The handle is

T Alteneder & Sons Drafting Architect Scaling Rule.  Measuring 13 1/16"
long, 1 5/16" wide, and this weighs 1 1/2 oz unboxed. Theodore Alteneder
was a Philadephia PA inventor and maker of drafting tools who was in
business from 1850 until 1912.  This is in good condition, the only
cleaning was a quick wipedown with some soap and water.  There are some
light scuffs and a couple of stains but nothing too bad.  All the
rulings are readable.  The edges have a couple of very tiny dings.  This
is a neat rule and considering that it's well over the 100 year old
mark, well it sure ain't bad. $17.00

TWO Vintage Wood Handle Turnscrews Or Screwdrivers.  The one on the left
is 5 1/2" long, the tip is 5/16" wide, the one on the right is 7 1/8"
long, the tip is 5/16" wide, and they weigh 4 1/2 oz unboxed. The one on
the right has a partial mark.  These are in fair condition and were
cleaned.   The b lade on the one on the left is fairly clean but
somebody wedged it in place and it sits at a bit of an angle.  The one
on the right has some pitting on both sides.  The left handle is rose
wood, the other one I can't say, probably beech.  Both have some checks
and dings.  These ain't pretty or perfect but they do have some age to
them.  $17.00

Stanley No 1222 1/2 A Carpenters Combination Square.  This weighs 11 oz
unboxed.  This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned by
someone else.  The head has a little wear to the finish but most of it
is there.  The level vial is good but the scribe is MIA.  The machined
faces have some frosting but nothing too bad.  The rule has some
frosting and a few spots of light pitting.  All the rulings are readable
except for one small area on the 32nds scale and the edges and corners
are good.  This ain't minty but it will get the job done.  $17.00

good other than a couple of tiny dings.  The striking end does have a
little mushrooming.  The punched eye has a little crusty inside but it's
good with no cracks that I can see.  This ain't pretty or perfect, but
then neither are you and this will get the job done.  $18.00

Vintage Wood Handle Box Scraper.  Measuring 13 1/8" overall, the b lade
is 5 9/16" long (straight across the edge) and this weighs 15 1/4 oz
unboxed.  Not signed as to the maker.  This is in decent condition and
was cleaned.  Somebody had painted the head with flat black paint. I got
rid of most of that on the outside but there still is some on the inside
of the b lade.  The outside is clean up by the edge and after that here
is some light pitting.  The inside has some overall light pitting.  The
brass ferrule has a couple of checks.  The handle also has a check under
the ferrule but the head is pinned in place.  The handle has some dings,
stains, and wear but it's solid.  This ain't pretty but then it wasn't
made to do a pretty job.  $25.00

few light dings.  This is a good looking and top quality tool to say the
least.  $20.00
