I’d like to re-introduce myself to the list.

My name is Ray Sheley, I’m a retired Mechanical Engineer, and live in the
Rochester NY area.
My woodworking experience is in the form of remodeling, repair of furniture,
refinishing, furniture kit building, small projects, but no fine furniture
building, very limited (Almost non-existent) lathe work, etc.

I have a strong bent to sharpening, tool restoration, and tinkering.

I was an active forum participant in the past, but the damage done to my career
in 2008-2009, along with other set-backs reduced my list activity to the
occasional lurking, and my hobby interests to near zero.

It's been a long time and it's time to gain back some of my interests.

I see familiar names, note some missing, and say hello again to all.
To get my feet wet I’m staring out by reviving my interest in making my several
Original cast wishbone Workmates fully functional again, and in catching up with
my interest in Lie-Nielsen planes/tools.

I was an early L-N user and have a number of early and apparently now defunct
models of these tools and would welcome input, and perhaps links to sites for
these tools (Workmate and L-N.)

I'm looking forward to reengaging and becoming more of a participant again.
