Welcome back! The great recession was brutal to a good number of
people. Sorry to hear you were among them.
I was an active list-member for a number of years way back when (Is
it more than 20 years already?), got to be good friends even off-list
with a number of the early listmembers. I used to post pretty
regularly as new people came in asking questions, and liked sharing
stories about the oldtools I managed to find and the occasional
project, such as the cabin I built in the mountains using lots of
handtools along with some power tools. I have continued to subscribe
but got too busy to really track the group around when you dropped
out. Now I am lurking and posting a bit again via the digests which
are a bit more manageable for me these days, though not because I
have less to do. I do enjoy seeing a number of the names I remember
from past days posting and hearing what people are up to. So I
appreciate a bit of reintroduction since I often remember names but
not details.
