The Canadian Woodworker store here in Calgary hosts a 'garage sale' of
sorts every January. Woodworkers (and dealers) bring in items they no
longer want or need for sale on a commission basis. I have sold a few
things there in the past, and bought a few too. ;- 0 I believe Eric
Coyle has too. This year I picked up a few barely-used Henry Taylor,
Crown & Sorby along with a group of 5 rode-hard and put away wet
Craftsman turning tools, together with a used not abused Veritas 6in
drawknife. Most items were well below 1/2 of new prices and in
excellent condition. The two bargains were the Craftsman ($15 for 5 )
and Veritas items $45 vs $120 new w sheath. Canuckaloots may want to
check out their local stores.
