275779 Tony Seo 2022‑06‑24 Summer 2022 Kutztown PA Antiques Extravaganza
Today kicked on the Summer 2022 Kutztown PA Antiques Extravaganza.  The
weather was cool to start (59F), but the sun was hot and there was next
to no wind.  The summer show always has the lowest vendor turnout of the
three shows, so picking is tough, but I got enough to make the ride
worthwhile.  Hazy sunshine to start the day.

It did cleared up fast.  The vendor count was way down, but the summer
show just doesn't get many out any more.

The pavilions had empty spots as well.

It was nice day to be out and about.

I don't know who this guy is, but....

The old back pack was heavy, but it does it's job.

Pickings weren't great, but there were some tools to be had.  Lot of
projects.  I got a rough 6" sweep brace, probably a Millers Falls, a
small brass plumb bob, a Sargent turnscrew, an unmarked Stanley No. 61
marking gage in good shape, except for needing the brass shoe under the
screw, a Stanley No. 90 marking gage, a double arm pizza wheel style
mortising gage, what looks like an Ames patent square with a rose wood
head, and a Disston No. 68 dovetail saw.

There is a Colt No. 2 bar clamp, a neat 16 gauge shotgun capper and
de-capping tool, the world's second ugliest Stanley No. 42X saw set (but
it works, unlike the No. 1 ugliest version of that tool that I have a in
a junk box some place), a Slocomb patent micrometer, a neat bench level,
a Stortz & Son clam shucking knife, a Stanley level signed with the
patent date, a rivet setter, a neat hand forged workbench dog, and a
nicely user crafted screwdriver.

Finishing the pile, there is a heavy jointer's mallet, a French style
cobbler's hammer, a leather stitching awl, a pair of sweet small cross
peen hammers, the lower one looks to have a rosewood handle, and a pair
of Stanley try squares.  Not a great load, but for an hour's picking, it
wasn't too bad.

Now to get on with the rest of the day...

Tony (let's just say that it ain't getting any easier...)
