I don't think the insanity for No. 1's has passed. I started an eBay
auction last night for a Lie-Nielsen No. 1. This isn't just any typical
pristine Lie Nielsen No. 1; it is likely one of the most neglected, beat-up
ones out there. It would actually be fine for someone shopping for a user
No. 1, but does such a person exist?

I started the auction at $10, resigned to get maybe $50-100 for it. Within
the first 30 minutes it was bid up to about $150, and it now stands at
$380, with six days to go. That is considerably more than I paid for it
three years ago in a Craigslist purchase.
