277076 Matthew Groves <grovesthegrey@g...> 2023‑03‑07 Colored Glass Pattern
My church has a question about something old and craftish, and eyes turned
toward me.

It’s a good feeling, yes?

So there’s a few damaged panels of glass. Seems easy enough to remove the glass.

Where does one source glass with this pattern? I’m looking for purple (not
pictured) but in the pattern of the pink in this picture.

Hey Matthew,

I've done some stained glass in my time but I don't consider myself an
expert. However, I will point you in your search efforts toward textured
glass under the "ripple" category - or Cathedral glass. Here is an example
by a pretty well known maker. Hope this helps you and good luck!

Heimer & Co. has been working with stained glass for over a century. They
might be able to offer some guidance.

Hi Matthew

I got in touch with a friend who is a stained glass worker. He says

"I am shocked about the current price of coloured glass. It has more
than tripled. Out here in Victoria anyways. Best place to go in my
opinion besides ones local stained glass supply store would be building
materials recycling places both on the ground and on the internet."

I suppose any of the architectural antiques places might have the glass.
