41232 Andrew Bragg USG <bragg@l...> 1998‑04‑13 Andrew Bragg bio
Greetings,

Well after lurking on the porch for a while I am submitting my bio.
My name is Andrew Bragg, and live in Pepperell, MA. As for work I am a
software engineer for Digital/Compaq working on the object file and
symbol table. I've just started woodworking about one year ago after
buying my current house, finally having enough room for a shop. SWMBO
is an occupational therapist and is pregnant with our first child due
in June.

My projects are things that SWMBO wants, never being baby furniture I
can't blame her I would be hesitant putting a child in anything that I
currently make. The projects that decide to do are things that I find
interesting to make with my limited skills always trying to add a new
type of joint. I prefer working with hand tools since it causes little
dust and noise. It is also bit less expensive then buying all those
p*w*r t**ls. If you guessed by the last statement, I am a bottom
feeder, and try to limit what I buy by what I need.

The only tools that I currently have are a small set of user tools,
which keep me quite busy and a couple of p*w*r t**ls. I don't have
the time to go to flee markets and antique shops, quite frankly I
dislike shopping in general. I much prefer to spend my free time
making something. Therefore I don't think that I will be coming across
anything that could be considered gloatable.

I look forward to reading the advice and tales of the galoots on
the porch.

In regarding the past thread on the Japanese pull saws, I recently
picked up a small Duzuki panel saw and found it works great for making
dovetails.
