I'm coming out of lurking to join this worthy assembly. After a few months
of buying old tools and some newer ones without a p*w*r chord, I've actually
made something. It's nothing worth writing home about...but hey, I made it
myself. It's a little dollmaking(other mailing list!)-tool-chest for my
SWMBO with handcut dovetails and rabbets made with a 78 (before joining this
list, in august, I didn't even imagine there was such thing as a rabbet plane).

I'm a 32 year old television journalist (no, you don't actually see me on
tv...except in the background in the newsroom). I work for the french
service of the CBC in Montreal. I have one SWMBO (I've tried having more
than one I while ago...but was quickly cured, for good!), one cat, no kids,
no workbench (Workmate doesn't count, I guess) no woodworking shop (I do
have a garage at my summer place, but my father in law's 1972 Citroen (for
sale) is stored in it).

My next project will probably be my own tool chest...If I get the gifts I
hinted to (very subtly with a red marker in the Lee Valley tools catalog)
for Christmas.

The shop is planned for when I buy a house (Next spring if all goes as
expected).
